The students are supported by the qualified faculties in their academic curriculum and co- curricular activities alike. The state of an art Geography laboratory has been functioning in the department since 2009.The time bound syllabus coverage in addition to the practical aspect of the subject pertaining to the field / outdoor field skills are being rendered to the students by the committed teachers.
The various activities in the form of field surveys, educational tours, workshops, seminars, conferences are regularly organized for the allround development of the students in the college.</p>
 	<p>Similarly, the undergraduate syllabus in Geography is being phenomenally imparted to the students. The department of Geography played a vital role in making more than 75% attendance of the students during covid 19 pandemic through online mode of teaching. The students apart from their regular syllabus of graduation and post graduation are supported for various Geography oriented competitive exams. During the years 2018, 2019 and 2020 there has been a rise in the success rate of students in the department of Geography in various exams like NET, SLET and MPET etc.

The students are given theoretical as well as practical knowledge about psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, psychological testing, positive psychology, statistics, etc. Psychological tests and experiments are also conducted at psychology laboratory for sharpening their practical hands in the field of psychology. </p> 
<h5 class="text-center>POST-GRADUATION PROGRAME</h5>
<p>The post-graduation scheme (M.A./M.Sc.) at the Department of Psychology was started in the year 2020 with a maximum seat of 40. Our training and teaching of psychology are largely based on offering students a theory-driven psychological education interlaced with some level of practical/experimental training and research. The subjects that are offered at previous year are Systems & Theories of Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Statistics and Research Methodology. Also, psychological tests and experiments are conducted in the psychology laboratory. The subjects offered at the final year are Applied Psychology, Advanced Social Psychology, optional paper (Clinical Psychology/Counselling Psychology/Organisational Psychology, etc) and optional paper (Personality Psychology/Thesis). Along with it, psychological tests and experiments are also a part of the curriculum. </p>
<p>The Department of Psychology intended to encourage a diverse community of students to come together and further their learnings about psychological theories, principles, and systems in order to facilitate their use of psychology to understand the world and its people. The department’s goal is to help students understand the importance of evidence-based practices in understanding, predicting, controlling, and solving problems in a complex, diverse, and information-rich world. The development of critical thinking skills is encouraged through the courses offered in this department. The application of theoretical concepts to improve understanding of the world is also emphasized. </p>
